How much bank balance do Qatar residents need for a Canada visit visa?

IRCC sets no fixed amount. The Abu Dhabi checklist used for Qatar asks for bank statements or a bank book covering the past three months, plus an employment letter, pay slips, pension, business registration or investments. Your balance in riyals should cover flights, stay and daily costs.

What proof of my Qatar residence should I include?

Include a copy of your most recent Gulf residence visa if it is not in your current passport. Your passport, and each child’s own passport, must have a blank page and be valid at least one month after you plan to leave Canada. Renew a residence permit close to expiry before applying.

What if my employer or a relative is paying for the trip?

Business travellers need letters from their employer and the Canadian host company explaining the visit and who pays. If a relative pays, include their signed letter, relationship, passport or ID copy and a bank certificate. The checklist wants these dated within three months of your application.

What if I own a business in Qatar?

The Abu Dhabi checklist asks business owners for a copy of the company’s trade licence showing its expiry date and number of shareholders, with an English or French translation, plus personal bank statements for the past three months. A licence that has lapsed will raise questions.
