Who can get a super visa from Nepal?

Parents and grandparents of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is 18 or older and lives in Canada. The parent applies from outside Canada, passes a medical exam, buys private health insurance, and includes a letter of invitation from the child or grandchild showing they meet the minimum income.

Where do parents in Nepal do the super visa medical?

Only with an IRCC panel physician. IRCC’s list for Nepal shows panel physicians in Kathmandu, including the IOM Migration Health Assessment Centre. A report from any other hospital is not accepted. Check the list before booking because it changes.

Can we buy the super visa insurance in Nepal?

Usually not from a Nepali company. The policy must come from a Canadian insurance company, or a foreign insurer authorized by Canada’s OSFI that issued it while doing business in Canada. It must be paid in full or by instalments with a deposit. Quotes are not accepted.

How do we prove the parent-child relationship from Nepal?

IRCC accepts the host’s birth certificate or another official document naming you as the parent or grandparent. In Nepal, births are registered with the local registrar at the ward office under the civil registration system. If the birth was registered late, add older records such as school certificates naming the parents.

How much income does the child in Canada need?

The host must meet the minimum necessary income for their family size, published by IRCC and updated each year. The invited parents count in the family size. Only the host’s spouse or common-law partner can co-sign to add income.
