How do I get my Nepali degree assessed for Express Entry?

Pick an IRCC-designated organization, such as WES, and follow its document rules for Nepal. Most ask for transcripts sent directly by your university, for example Tribhuvan University or Kathmandu University, so request them early. The report must say what your degree equals in Canada.

You usually only need your highest credential assessed. For points for two credentials, each must be assessed.

An ECA is valid for 5 years for Express Entry.

Which English test should I take in Nepal?

IRCC accepts IELTS General Training, CELPIP-General and PTE Core. IELTS Academic and PTE Academic are not accepted for Express Entry. Results must be under 2 years old when you create your profile and when you apply for PR. CELPIP lists test sittings in Kathmandu.

How do I get a police certificate from Nepal for PR?

Apply online through the Nepal Police Online Police Clearance Registration System. You need one from every country where you lived 6 months or more since age 18. Nepali workers who spent time in the Gulf or Malaysia also need certificates from those countries.

How much money do I need for Express Entry from Nepal?

A single Federal Skilled Worker applicant needs CAD 15,263 in settlement funds under IRCC’s current table, about NPR 1.65 million. The money must be available and unborrowed. Canadian Experience Class applicants, and those with a valid job offer and work authorization in Canada, are exempt.

Government fees are CAD 1,590 per adult including the right of permanent residence fee (about NPR 172,200) and CAD 270 per dependent child.

What CRS score do Nepali applicants need?

There is no cut-off by country. Everyone competes on the same Comprehensive Ranking System score, driven mostly by age, language, education and experience. A provincial nomination adds 600 points. Job offers no longer add points since 25 March 2025.
