Submit the marriage registration certificate issued by the local registrar (ward office) and a certified English or French translation. Add wedding photos, invitation cards and proof that both families took part. IRCC checks that the marriage is legally valid where it took place.
IRCC looks at the whole relationship, not only the certificate. Include photos over time, proof of regular contact, visits, and how you met or were introduced. For arranged marriages, explain how the families were introduced. Your answers and your spouse’s answers must match.
A valid passport, citizenship certificate, birth and marriage records, a Police Clearance Certificate from Nepal Police and from any other country where they lived 6 months or more since 18, and an IRCC medical exam in Kathmandu once IRCC asks.
Yes, a dependent child can be included in your application or sponsored. Provide the child’s birth registration naming both parents, with a certified translation. If the other parent is not coming to Canada, include their consent or a court document showing you have custody.
