How much bank balance do UAE residents need for a Canada visit visa?

IRCC sets no fixed amount. The Abu Dhabi checklist asks for bank statements or a bank book covering the past three months, plus an employment letter, pay slips, pension, business registration or investments. Your balance in dirhams should cover flights, stay and daily costs for the whole trip.

What does a UAE business owner need to show?

A copy of your company’s trade licence showing its expiry date and the number of shareholders, with an English or French translation, plus your personal bank statements for the past three months. An expired trade licence, or one that does not show your share, weakens the file.

What if my sponsor in the UAE or Canada is paying?

Provide a signed letter from the person paying explaining how they are related to you, a copy of their passport or photo ID, and a bank certificate showing they have enough money. The Abu Dhabi checklist asks for these to be dated within three months of your application.

Does my passport need special validity?

Each traveller, including children, needs their own passport with at least one blank page, valid for at least one month after the date you plan to leave Canada. Also include a copy of your latest Gulf residence visa if it is not in your current passport.

Why applications from UAE get refused

These are the grounds IRCC officers most often write in refusal letters for this kind of application. They are typical grounds, not statistics. Fix them before you apply, not after.

  • The officer was not satisfied you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, given your residence status and ties.

Not always. The Abu Dhabi checklist makes it optional when processing takes more than two weeks, though having it can speed things up at decision time.
Yes. Children travelling alone or with one parent need proof of custody or a consent letter, with a signed ID copy of the other parent.
