IRCC accepts a Police Clearance Certificate from an emirate, a national Criminal Clearance Certificate or a Good Conduct Certificate. You need only one, from any emirate. Apply at your emirate’s police, online through Dubai Police, or at a UAE embassy abroad. A representative with power of attorney can apply for you.
Your passport and a copy of your most recent Gulf residence visa if it is not in your current passport. The Abu Dhabi checklists ask for this for visitors and students. Keep your Emirates residence valid through the process, since your right to apply from the UAE depends on it.
Yes. Any document not in English or French needs a certified translation. The Abu Dhabi checklist singles out trade licences, which must always come with an English or French translation. Many UAE documents are bilingual, but check each page before you upload it.
A police certificate from your home country if you lived there six months or more since 18 within the last 10 years, plus civil documents such as birth and marriage certificates. Each country has its own process on IRCC’s police certificate pages, and some require you to apply through an embassy.
