Spouse/Partner Sponsorship
Sponsor your spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner to become a Canadian permanent resident.
Requirements:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be able to prove the relationship is genuine
- Sign an undertaking to financially support your spouse
Processing: 12 months
Parents & Grandparents
Sponsor your parents or grandparents to become permanent residents through PGP or Super Visa.
Requirements:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Meet minimum necessary income (LICO + 30%)
- Sign an undertaking for 20 years (parents) or 10 years (grandparents)
- Live in Canada when submitting the application
Processing: 20-24 months
Dependent Children
Include your dependent children in your immigration application or sponsor them later.
Requirements:
- Child must be under 22 years old
- Child must be unmarried
- Child must not have a common-law partner
- Exceptions for children with disabilities
Processing: 12 months
Super Visa
Multi-entry visa for parents and grandparents valid for up to 10 years with extended stay.
Requirements:
- Be a parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or PR
- Have valid medical insurance
- Meet medical exam requirements
- Signed letter of invitation from child/grandchild
